Semi - Vs Uni Blues
Our Thirds side took on Uni Blues on a windy and cold Sunday morning at Elsternwick Park. Things looked promising at half time when in a low scoring scrappy affair the boys took a two goal lead into the sheds. Blues kicked five goals in the third but with the wind in the last we certainly had a chance. Try as we might we just couldn’t bridge the gap and our chance at glory was gone. No excuses, Blues were too good on the day but you can’t help thinking it a lost opportunity. Jacko, Godders, AB, Maddog, Shinks and the Duff Man gave it their all but it wasn’t enough. To Asha, Gambo, Schotty, all the players and support staff we thank you for a great year. The consistently high performances of this group over the past few years has really been a credit to all involved and generated much goodwill within the club and the VAFA community. Well done lads.
