New Coaches for U19s

On behalf of the committee I am pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Ferguson & John McDonough as Co Coaches of Collegians Under 19’s for season 2010.
Both Rob and John have a huge appetite for sport, in particular footy, cricket and basketball. Apart from being great mates they have teamed together before, both having significant involvement at the Ashburton Redbacks, where most recently John took his side to the flag last year. Rob coached the side the previous two years.
Rob and his family are well known to Mark Hibbins, Simon Arnott and indeed the Wesley community. Rob’s son Lachie is a terrific player at first XV111 level and we hope to see him at Collegians in the future.
I believe Rob’s knowledge of Wesley football will be a big benefit to our club and I can see John being a great asset to the club as well. Rob and John are very focused, highly motivated guys and aren’t just taking this job on for fun. They will be very determined to bring success, create a healthy environment for the boys and overall make a contribution to Collegians long term success.
I have no doubt they will do a fantastic job and I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the best in this role.
